"Then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known" 1 Corinthians 13:12
It is incredible to try and understand that we are fully completely known. I am writing this word with hopes to reveal the living reality that you were created in such extravagant fruitfulness and measures of creativity. I want you after reading this to attempt to comprehend just how much you are 100% loved, valued and noticed. No matter just how far you could try to run and hide you will always be 100% found and received in love. We definitely claim to say the word Love on average a few times a day. But I think it is a word perhaps we don’t even acknowledge just the power of it.
We were created in love and by love because God himself is love. We were created for love. But most importantly we were created to be loved. God knew exactly and precisely what he was doing when he chiseled out your fingers and toes. He created you to be a glory sponge that draws people in simply to experience and encounter pure love. People love you because there is a contagious pure love inside of you. You know you are loved!
It’s okay to be vulnerable. We were born with an incredible capacity for love. The quiet woman on the subway could be the person who gives you a new perspective on life—the one who opens you up with tremendous ease and assuages your fears and puts out your fires. People who know they are loved have a greater love muscle to love other people. When you are in a love relationship with anyone, do you not realize how much easier it can be to love another?
The English language doesn’t contain the vocabulary to express different levels of love—instead using one abstract word to encompass the entire complicated spectrum of human emotion. In Spanish, love between families is separated from love between spouses. In Greek, there are four distinct terms, each with its own meaning. Working with such a limited capacity for expression, it’s no wonder our society as a whole appears to perpetually be in turmoil over the concept of love.
We’re in constant pursuit of it, yet question it when we experience it; herald it’s beauty, yet fear that we will be left broken in its wake. Love becomes a contradiction. It simultaneously becomes the root of our joys and our woes. But what if we step outside of society and listen to the voice of God who loves us unconditionally and fully knows us. The hands of God who crafted us in 100% complete assurance that he knew what he was doing when he formed us before we were in the womb?
Aside from how the world sees love- always having to fix this, work on that, loose ten pounds, get eyelash extensions, color our hair.... the list goes on. What if we could digest in every moment of our lives that we are already 100% complete. We are 100% seen 100% noticed 24 hours a day, and because of that, we are 100% known fully.
I want you to imagine if you were the only living person on the entire earth. You would have no one to look at or compare yourself to. You also would understand that you really are Gods only and favorite child and treasured possession. God the master artist designed you to be you. You being you have a purpose that only YOU can fulfill. If you were the only person on the earth you would absolutely know that you were made in perfection because you are the only and ever human being created and you would not have time or even the emotional energy to waste on what is supposed to look or feel right in and on your body. You would just have to trust God and know that he as God knew what he has done by creating you!
I want to go deeper. And encourage you to let love penetrate into the hard walls in your heart you have put up.
The bible says: Love your neighbor as yourself. It is truth that we really can only ever love someone as much as we love oneself. How do you love yourself? Understand that God does not make junk. He knew full well what he was doing when he designed you to be you. Every time we try to change or adjust ourselves we are actually insulting God the master creator. Do you think God could make a mistake by taking a heavenly eraser and saying oh I made a big mistake by making Isabella’s right calf a little too fat? I believe that sometimes we delay the moment of breakthrough simply because we waste so much time on ourselves and trying to be someone we were never created to be. Why do we try time after time to twist the arm of God for change?
Can you take a moment and meditate on the thought that there really someone who sees you as 100% complete and a finished trophy standing before the throne of a King? It is fortunate that he has given us assignments here on earth to fulfill. Through every assignment given you know he still does see us as complete and perfect! Do you know that there is someone out there who nonstop never takes his eyes off of you? You are 100% found by love every moment of your life. There is only one thing that is impossible and that is that God would ever take his eyes off of you! Why do we take our eyes off of him?
"But when perfection comes, what is imperfect disappears"
Understand that perfection is here. 100%, 24-7. His name is Jesus. Jesus is 100% human and 100% God. He is 100% complete and 100% perfect in all that he does, and all that he has done. He is complete to assure you that every season you passed through- you passed the test. He may seem invisible but he is visible even more and more each and every day we acknowledge him. Every rough day was a set up just so you would grow in the right direction. What if you could fully comprehend that every time you feel like you fall or even fail it really is Gods gracious hand protecting you from the evil one. What if every day that you were late or missed a timeline, God really was saving you from an accident on the freeway? What if we could fully practice what we preach and when we say we trust God, really trust him? When perfection has come, the imperfect disappears.
God did not design junk. God is the most creative person in the universe and he designed you. Can you take a moment and understand just how he hand placed each and every eyelash on your eyelid with a unique curl. He formed the loveliest hue on the color pallet that you would have ginger ruby red locks because for a certain season you are called to influence the world with a rare uniqueness that is irreplaceable or un-clonable. You were created and designed for a destiny that only you can fulfill.
Every time we try to adjust or change the way we were created, we are insulting our creator. We are dis-honoring, rejecting and hurting our father in heaven. God is not a man that he could ever make a mistake or psyche the way he crafted his kings and queens here on earth.
If you find yourself stuck in a place where you just can’t get you out of the way, put a coin in the cup. I challenge you to be aware of self-induced thinking. When you spend only time with yourself you get induced by yourself and you have missed the point. You have taken your eyes off of God and his glorious son Jesus. We waste so much time on ourselves and too often let yourself be our own worst enemy and get distracted. When you hang out with pure love you fall in love and the things that were once imperfect become perfect! What if we could gain all of those moments we wasted on ourselves, worrying when our eyes should have been on God? It could be years gained back for some of us. (Ouch!)
The good news is that we have been given someone who is here living with us in this earthly realm- his son Jesus. He is an invisible God, but also acts on our behalf as he is 100% human so that he relates with us on every human measure. Needless to say I don’t think he had issues with hating the hair on his legs or armpits but you know he struggled with rejection and inner hurts deeper then we could ever have. Yet, Jesus knew that he had a good father who made him in 100% perfection because God knew what he was doing ( PS hair on legs was to help keep him warm at night?) When perfection is here, the imperfect disappears. Jesus knew despite his rejection of the world, he was loved by his creator because God was in him and always with him. God’s eyes never stopped beaming on him. Now can you envision eyes like fire beaming on you nonstop 24-7 to the point where every single infirmity must be zapped away? The flame of love does not stop at anything!
Jesus knew he was so loved to the point people pushed through crowds just to get to him, people dug holes through roofs just to get to him. He knew he had people who loved him so much as Mary poured out an entire year’s wages or expensive perfume on his feet because she loved him. He received this so well. He displayed that though he had ones who rejected him, he did not respond to it. He was able to be loved and most importantly loveable by those who understood who he was. I want you to understand that you are to be extravagantly loved as he was loved despite how the world could make you feel. It is us who makes the decision to respond to rejection or love.
So this I leave you with. You are fully known because pure love is what designed you. Then is now, and now you are fully known. Perfection is here . Let your imperfect disappear.
I want to leave you with some incredible truths to hold fast to and speak out to your spirit.
The process is to break off lies, strongholds, addictions, shame and anything that is holding you back from unlocking the door to a new life in Christ and remind yourself of how much you are extravagantly loved. Those moments when you’re in a funk speak these to yourself.
"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" Ephesians 3:18
I am a new creation in Him!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17
I am reconciled in Christ! My message is reconciliation and freedom.
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Cor 5:18-19
I am righteous and holy.
“And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24
I have been born again by the Holy Spirit:
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. John 3:3-6
I am saved by grace as a gift, not because of my performance.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians 2:8
Now, you understand you have the right to a new life in Christ. Once you have broken off wrong belief systems, God is beckoning you to step into His spotlight and radiate like never before.
I radiate light wherever I go.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
I shine like a firework in the night.
“Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” PhiLipphians 2:15
I am a daughter of Light.
“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”1 Thessalonians 5:5
I am the salt of the earth.
“You are the salt of the earth.” Matthew 5:13
I am a vessel of Divine Light.
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
Beams and light and joy exude from within me.
“Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.” Psalm 97:11
When you realize your self-worth, beauty and joy in Christ, you have the fearlessness to step into your destiny and Reign…
I am a victor.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
I have a heavenly calling.
“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.” Hebrews 3:1
I have royalty in my veins and lead with integrity.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
I am designed for good works.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
I am a co-heir with Christ.
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. If indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share with His glory.” Romans 8:17
I am chosen and called by God to produce fruit.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16
Now, speak the bolded declarations out loud to yourself. The power of life and death is in the tongue, so it is vital that you only allow the Truth to come out of your mouth. It could be the difference in an amazing life and a disappointing one. (Proverbs 18:21)
